National Bank Lowers Refinancing Rate to 10.5% per Annum

From September 15, 2010, National Bank lowers refinancing rate by 0.5% to 10.5% per annum. According to the National Bank, another refinancing rate reduction is aimed to lower general rates in economy and is an important factor for economic growth in the country.

In the main bank of the country they also explained that reduction of general level of interest rates was positively effected by stable economic situation forming in Belarus, including low inflation rate, PRIME-TASS informs.

The last time the National Bank lowered refinancing rate on August 18, 2010 — from 11.5% to 11% per annum. In general, in 2010 this is already the sixth refinancing rate reduction.
