National Bank's Costs Exceeded its Incomes by Br93.7 Billion in 2010

National Bank gained a profit of $124 billion by the end of 2010. Costs of the Central Bank amounted to Br217.7 billion last year. Thus the National Bank's expenses exceeded its profits by Br93.7 billion. Accountancy of the National Bank in 2010 was adopted by decree #258 on June 20, 2011.

Br99.2 billion of profit was remitted to reserves of the Agency for the guaranteed refundable deposits of individuals, Br22.8 billion — to the reserve fund, Br2 billion — to fund of loans, AFN.

Br79.8 billion of expenditure went to capital investment. The balance of the country’s main bank is estimated at Br48.9 trillion.
