Driver's license of a new model to be introduced in Belarus in December of this year. It was reported by the chief of Traffic Control Inspection of Interior Ministry, Yuri Litvin, during the opening of Republican gathering of young traffic inspectors at the "Stalin Line" historical-cultural complex. "At present, there is an active work in this direction", he said.
According to Yuri Litvin, the traffic control inspection still has an intention to introduce a new «AM» category for moped and scooter’s drivers. The head of traffic control inspection of MIA stressed that to obtain such kind of license it would not be necessary to pass exams in the TCI, BelTA informs.
«We are going to do that on voluntary basis», Yury Litvin said. «Moreover, if a person already has «A» or «B» category of license, then he can get the «AM» on application principle».
Yuri Litvin also added that traffic control inspection had no plans to introduce special category of license to drive vehicles with automatic transmission.
