Vietnamese President, Nguyen Minh Triet, at a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart, Alexander Lukashenko, has invited Belarus to participate in the development of oil fields on Vietnamese territory and in third countries. According to Vietnamese leader, in Hanoi, they are looking forward to comprehensively strengthen economic ties with Minsk.
As Nguyen Minh Triet stressed, Vietnamese authorities are ready to «create favorable conditions for the development of ties between Belarusian and Vietnamese regions and enterprises», and welcome Belarus’ participation in the construction of subway in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, BelTA informs.
In addition, the president of Vietnam noted that Bangkok is interested in joint projects on training Vietnamese agronomists and other specialists in the field of agriculture in Belarus.

In his turn, the president of Belarus has invited Vietnam to make greater use of Belarus’ opportunities to enter the markets of the CIS, Eastern and Central Europe.
«We have all the possibilities and preconditions for a serious advance in relations», Alexander Lukashenko said, noting that for Belarus Vietnam has become a base for the development of South-East Asia.
«We attach great importance to the development of relations with Vietnam as a powerful nation and active member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations», stressed Belarusian leader.
