President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has instructed the new Minister of Architecture and Construction to avoid raising prices in the sector, entrusted to him. According to the President, it's necessary to reduce cost price in the construction industry to compensate for higher prices of natural resources, particularly gas.

«Let’s forget this thing. And all the price increase for raw materials, resources, etc., we’ll level by reducing costs. But in our construction, as well as in agriculture, figuratively speaking, not a bone in the truck. It’s still possible to reduce cost there. Therefore, any increase in energy prices should be covered by cost reductions in other areas, » Alexander Lukashenko said, addressing Anatoli Nichkasov.

MES Should Be Closer to People, Lukashenko

The Belarusian leader also expressed his dissatisfaction with the Ministry of Emergency Situations with his former leader in charge. «Unfortunately, it happened so that despite the work, there are still no significant results in key areas,» the President of Belarus stated.

«We need to be closer to people and give the result. This is your main task,» the president said, referring to the new Minister for Emergencies Vladimir Vashchenko.

Science Should Make Money, Lukashenko

Appointing Anatoli Rusetski chairman of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko pointed out that science should be self-sufficient and earn money.

«Our future is new technologies, nanotechnology is a technological way of the fifth or sixth level. The government won’t be able to work without scientists in this five-year period,» the Belarusian leader said.
