Head of Information Technologies Department of Belarusian State Telecommunications Inspection (BelSTI), Andrei Silich, reported that as of June 8, there were about 60 applications for registration of Internet resources. "To the date, we are examining approximately 60 applications, and there have been registered not more than 20 resources", BelSTI representative said.

Andrei Silich reminded that in accordance with the decree of Belarus’ Council of Ministers and Alexander Lukashenko’s decree № 60, unregistered Internet resources can not be used. At the same time, BelSTI representative recalled that the process of sites registration must be completed before July 1, BelTA informs.

According to Andrei Silich, the majority of applications for sites registration are rejected due to the large number of mistakes, including spelling mistake. Andrei Silich also noted that as of May 26, no by-net resources were registered at all.

As Telegraf previously reported, according to the decree on Internet, all providers until July 1 must transfer their users to Belarusian data centers and register them in Belarus State Telecommunications Inspection (BelSTI). Also, all e-mail boxes (about two million) were subjected to the registration.

However, Ministry of Communications and the relevant institutions of state administration decided to cancel e-mail registration.

In their turn, the experts note that 50 thousand of web-sites are still to undergo the state registration. It is not possible to register them all before July 1, according to specialists.

«Last week, they told that no web-site registered. In June, nearly 30 thousand web-sites will be submitted for registration. If BelSTI at least reads these application, it is obvious that one month is not enough», the experts said.
