Death Toll of Minsk Metro Explosion Increased

On Monday morning, April 25, Vitaly Daineko, born in 1970, died at emergency hospital in Minsk. Thus, the number of people died after an explosion in the Minsk metro has increased to 14 people. According to the Ministry of Health, in an inpatient hospital there are still 92 people injured at the explosion.

Telegraf reported that the terrorist attack in Kastrychnitskaya subway station Minsk had killed 13 people and injured more than 200 people. Ten of them are in serious condition, 19 are in moderate and 64 in mild condition.
In Minsk, the families of the victims are paid support
Minsk authorities start to pay support to the families of the victims of theterrorist attack. On this April 25 said Zhanna Romanovich, chairperson of the Commission on Labour, Employment and Social Protection of Minsk City Executive Committee, at the meeting at City Hall.
«Over the past week, the Commission of the Executive Committee received 84 applications, including ten applications from the victims’ families. Funds amounting to 245 million rubles ($80.38 thousand — Telegraf) have been transferred to seven families», Zhanna Romanovich says, BelTA.
The remaining 74 applications were received from relatives of the victims. «We update Belarusbank data and gradually transfers the money», added the head of the committee.
She also said that more than 390 people phoned to the committee on the matter. «People are interested in support providing order, the Commission’s work. They mostly ask to clarify where and how they can open an account, how to get money. I must say, those who comes and goes to the commission, set up friendly», said Zhanna Romanovich.
Executive committee also deals with the issues of money transfer to the regions. Thus, the three families of the victims of Brest and Minsk Voblasts have already received the funds.
The Chairman of the Commission informed that on April 22 the City Council services had developed a draft decree on additional measures for social assistance and support to victims of the terrorist attack. The project was coordinated with all services of City Council and forwarded for consideration.
Commission for payment of material assistance to the victims of the explosion was formed with the Committee on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of Minsk City Executive Committee.
Bereaved families will got financial support amounting to thousands of base units. Base unit equals 35 thousand rubles — that is, each family of the deceased will receive 35 million rubles ($11.48 thousand). Victims of the explosion, who got serious injuries, will paid with 100 basic units, less serious injuries — 50 base units, minor injuries — 20 base units.
When establishing a disability from resulting explosion injuries amount paid by financial aid is to be revised in light of previous payments made. That is, the people with the first and second groups disabilities will get up to 400 base units and with the third group disabilities will get 200 basic units.
To receive financial aid, people should provide the Commission the following documents:
— An application with a request to provide financial assistance (indicating a current account at a branch savings bank Belarusbank for its transfer);
— A document certifying the identity of the applicant (legal representative), and documents confirming the authority of legal representative;
— Expert opinion about the severity of injuries of the affected person (or a certificate of the death in the explosion);
— Disability certificate (for those who became disabled as a result of the explosion).
The Commission also may request other documents.
