Death Toll of Terror act in Belarus Reached 12 People, KGB

The number of deaths during the terrorist attack at "Kastrychnitskaya" station in Minsk subway has increased to 12 people. Four of them have been identified. This was reported by the Centre for Information and Public Relations of the Belarusian KGB. In total, according to the State Security Committee, 149 people appealed to the health facility for medical attention.

As Telegraf previously reported, Interior Minister Anatoli Kuleshov reported to Alexander Lukashenko that the explosive power at «Kastrychnitskaya» metro station ranged from five to seven kilograms of TNT.

«The train was moving from the Victory Square in the direction of the Independence Square. Presumably, the bomb was under a bench on the platform in front of the second carriage. The explosion formed a crater with a diameter of 80 cm. The power of the explosion ranged from 5 to 7 kg of TNT. The bomb was packed with metal balls of about 1 cm in diameter,» informed Minister of Interior.

A list of victims of terrorist attacks in Minsk subway has also been drawn up.

In addition, the Minsk city executive committee announced April 13 as a day of mourning in connection with the attack.
