Oil arrived in Belarus from Venezuela is really of a high Santa Barbara sort. It was confirmed on May 4 by Belarusian oil company. As stated in the BOC, an information, that instead of this sort via Ukraine came oil similar to Russian Urals brand crude oil, is false.
«Urals just can not come — Santa Barbara’s come», European Radio for Belarus quotes the BOC statement. According to the company’s representative, all the oil agreements between Venezuela and Belarus are «accurately carried out». In the BOC refused to comment on the value of Venezuelan oil for Belarus.
To remind, that on May 3 AFN making reference to sources in Belarusian oil industry reported that instead of high-quality light Santa Barbara with low-sulfur content in Belarus arrived oil, which composition is very similar to Russian Urals brand. Urals is supplied by Transneft via pipeline, part of it is duty-free, and the other is non-duty free. According to the sources of the agency, sulfur, vanadium and coke content in delivered Venezuelan oil at times exceeds the parameters stated in the specification.
