Export duties, including on oil and petroleum products, within the Customs Union will be cancelled only when created Common Economic Space (CES). The statement was made by Vice-Premier, Russia's Minister of Finance, Alexei Kudrin. According to previously approved plans, the parties intend to create the CES in 2012.

At the same time, Russia’s deputy prime minister underlined that «if we manage to prepare all agreements (to create the CES) and put them into action, then we’ll be able to consider an issue of earlier release from export duties», RBC informs.

As Telegraph previously reported, on July 5, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia signed a declaration on the entry into force of the Customs Code of the Customs Union. The Code began to work in full regime from July 6. The Belarusian side insists on that all export duties and, above all, oil duties within the CU to be canceled as soon as possible.
