Single candidate for presidency from opposition may become current Belarus' Prime Minister, Sergei Sidorsky. This possibility was announced by the leader of the United Civil Party, Anatoly Lebedko. In this case, he said, the opposition will collect 100 thousand signatures for his candidacy.

Anatoly Lebedko believes that Sergei Sidorsky may become «the Kremlin’s creation» at presidential elections. The UCP leader told about two possible scenarios, Belarus partisan informs.

The first scenario, according to Anatoly Lebedko, will unfold in the case if something happens with Alexander Lukashenko. Then, the next day, the prime minister becomes the acting head of state.

One of the opposition leaders said that according to the second scenario, democratic forces of Belarus should make a joint statement that their candidate is Prime Minister, Sergei Sidorsky. «Since he is the head of government, it will be difficult for authorities to throw him in jail», Anatoly Lebedko explained.

Nevertheless, the opposition politician declared that it was just a hypothetical option, because now Belarusian opposition «does not know what to do with their already existing candidates».
