Opposition to Establish Contacts with Officials and Officers of the MIA

In the course of election campaign, Belarusian opposition plans to establish contacts and conduct negotiations with government officials, regional heads and MIA officers, "who have begun to understand that the regime should be changed". It was stated in the declaration of Belarus' democratic forces.

Moreover, opposition is going to hold a large-scale information campaign to that all residents of Belarus to realize «harmful effects, caused to the Belarusian people by the policy of today’s authorities», Belarus Partisan informs.

Belarusian democratic forces also plan to organize mass mobilization campaign among voters to «change possible passive protest in the form of non-participation in elections into effective protest to that the majority of those who took part in voting, voted against the regime».

Belarus’ opposition representatives also plan to interact actively with election commissions. «Active civic position of election commission’s members should allow to reveal inevitable frauds, what will lead to international rejection of falsified elections», reads the declaration planned to be signed by democratic forces on August 24.

At the same time, there will be organized «an internal and external pressure on Belarusian regime to change the electoral law and practice».

In addition, opposition wants to urge all who to be disagree with elections’ results, disaffected with the policy of the  regime and situation to take part in mass protest with a demand to hold real free elections.
