OSCE Secretary General instructed senior adviser to the OSCE Police to select quickly and sent to Belarus two forensic experts to investigate the death of oppositional journalist Oleg Bebenin. The Secretary General of the organization informed about that in his letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus on September 21.

According to Maria Vanshina, Deputy Head of the MIF Information Department, this indicates that the question of sending in Belarus of the forensic experts from OSCE «went into action.»

«It is expected that in coming days we will know the composition of the expert group and the timing of its arrival», the official representative of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said.

As Telegraf informed, the body of an opposition journalist Oleg Bebenin was found on September 3 at his dacha near Minsk. The official forensic examination showed that the journalist had committed suicide. However, his colleagues and relatives do not believe the official version of the journalist’s suicide, claiming that there were no motive.

At the moment Belarus Prosecutor General’s Office is considering several versions in connection with the fact of Oleg Bebenin’s death. They are suicide and homicide followed by suicide hoax.
