Ministry of Foreign Affairs has concluded that some Belarusian citizens abroad found themselves in a difficult situation with their return from abroad caused by termination of flights due to volcanic eruption in Iceland. In particular, the MFA noted, the difficulties of Belarusians are related to the expiration of foreign visas.
«Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends Belarusian citizens — who found themselves in such a situation — to seek the assistance of foreign representations of Belarus to resolve potential problems with the expiration of their legal stay in foreign countries», reads the statement of Belarusian Foreign Ministry released on April 20.
«In case of Belarusian diplomatic missions’ absence in the host country, we ask Belarusian citizens to contact the appropriate diplomatic representatives of the Russian Federation», added in ministry.

Previously, Telegraf reported that during the night from April 19 to 20, volcanic eruption in Iceland continued, and it threw a lot of lava, ash and dust. As a result, planned for the morning of April 20 resumption of air service in the UK and other European countries was in doubt.
