Over Two Years Belarus Received Three Billion Dollars from Russia, Kudrin

Over two years Belarus received Russia's assistance amounted to more than three billion dollars. It was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Finance Minister, Alexei Kudrin. "Russia provided and will continue to provide financial aid to neighboring countries to ensure stability in the CIS zone", the head of Russian Ministry of Finance noted.

«We will assist the countries, which surround us, these are amounts we can pay. Our task is to ensure stability in the CIS zone», Alexei Kudrin said, adding that «besides the aid to Belarus, now Russia has reduced gas prices for Ukraine on mutually beneficial terms».

According to Russian Vice-Premier, the scale of decreased incomes of Russia’s budget system, concerning agreement with Ukraine, is about four billion dollars a year for almost ten years, Vzglyad informs.

Alexei Kudrin also reported that Russia had sent 70 million dollars to support fiscal balance and balance of payments in Tajikistan, ITAR-TASS informs.

The head of Russian Ministry of Finance added that it was only some part of mentioned loans and did not list credits, issued over the past two years for other countries, including Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and others.

«Thus, today Russia is acting not only as a country, which perhaps was prepared better for the crisis. We are ready to support our neighbors in the future», Deputy Prime Minister of Russia concluded.
