Pensions to Be Raised by 12.5% in Belarus

From August 1, 20101, the size of retirement pensions will be raised by 12.5% in average in Belarus. Such a provision is included in the decree № 371, signed on July 21.

As a result, pensions will increase by 58.6 thousand rubles (19.5 dollars) in average and will amount to 528.3 thousand rubles (176.1 dollars), AFN informs.

As Telegraf reported earlier, real monthly pension, adjusted on index of consumer prices of goods and services, in June 2010 increased by 12.4%, comparing with June 2009. However, compared to May 2010, it decreased by 0.2% and amounted to 469.7 thousand rubles.
