President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski pointed out in an interview with the Polish Radio Jedynka that his country should support the Belarusian opposition. He also stressed that Poland helped the Belarusian opposition more than any member of the European Union, but still failed to help the Belarusians.

The head of Poland said that his country’s inactivity can harm the local Polish community. However, he refuted the view that the Polish Eastern policy had failed. According to Bronislaw Komorowski, Poland is trying to pursue a flexible policy in its relations with Belarus, hoping that the Belarusian side will show flexibility as well.

The Polish president also notes that the weakness of the EU is the lack of the quality Eastern policy program. He also says about his attempts to emphasize the importance of this policy in talks with leaders of other EU member states, especially Germany and France.

As Telegraf previously reported, the leader of the Polish party «Law and Justice,» Jaroslaw Kaczynski, said on February 1 that the Polish diplomacy had failed in the past presidential elections in Belarus. According to the Polish politician, the election in Belarus is a «success of Moscow.»
