Police Decides to Restrict Alcoholic Beverages Sale in Minsk Suburbs

Minsk district police department sent to District Executive Committee a petition to limit the time of alcoholic beverages sale in Minsk district. As reported in police office, such measure is necessary to prevent the fact of rural residents' stay at their workplaces in a state of intoxication during the harvesting campaign.

On August 1, district police officers destroyed 26 distillers, 188 liters of home-distilled vodka, more than two thousand liters of home brew and more than 700 liters of adulterated alcoholic beverages, BelTA informs.

Police officers detected 114 cases of illegal sales of alcoholic products in total, including home-made. At the same time, traffic police of Minsk district recorded 12 facts of drunk-driving by drivers and machine operators of agricultural production cooperatives.
