All profits from the refining of Venezuelan oil at Mozyr refinery should stay in Belarus, despite the fact that over 40% of the plant holding actions are owned by Russian shareholders. It was stated on April 27 by Alexander Lukashenko in his address to the director general of this enterprise, Anatoly Kupriyanov. "If even one penny goes to the other side, blame yourself", the president said.
«All the money till every penny and profits should be in Belarus. They (Russia) did not have to refine oil, and they did not need profits. If someone interferes, say it at once», BelTA quotes the words of Belarusian leader.
In his turn, as Anatoly Kupriyanov reported to journalist, Mozyr oil refinery is ready to process oil from Venezuela. According to the director general of the refinery, it is of high quality, with a high content of light oil and low sulfur content.
«We have already processed oil with the same composition, and therefore, as soon as this oil to be delivered, the company will be technically ready to pour it off, refine on process objects and to transfer marketable products to the customer — Belarusian Oil Company», Anatoly Kupriyanov said.
With regard to the expected profitability of oil refining, then Anatoly Kupriyanov did not give a clear answer. Director general of Mozyr refinery only noted that on the outcome of processing a trial consignment of Venezuelan oil, which will be assessed by Belarusian Oil Company, «will be determined further opportunities to continue purchasing and processing Venezuelan oil at our enterprise».
As Telegraf previously reported, oil from Venezuela is expected to come to Mozyr refinery in early May. The first tanker with oil from Venezuela, destined for Belarus, has already arrived in the port of Odessa. April 26 at 10:00, there began oil pumping into the tanks. After that, the trial consignment of Santa Barbara sort (80 thousand tons) will be transported by train from Odessa to Mozyr.
