Protesters to be Tried in Minsk Courts

Minsk courts will consider the cases of the arrested on June 22 for participating in the action of silent solidarity. According to a participant in the event, Zhilko Anton, 60 detainees had protocols drawn up in the Leninski district police department. 15 of them were jailed in Akrestina street. They were mostly those who had argued with the police, outraged and demanded their rights.

As Telegraf previously reported, police detained about 450 people in Belarus on June 22 in the crackdown on the action of silent solidarity. More than 200 of them were detained in Minsk, the rest — in the regions.
