The Council of Ministers of Belarus increased the purchase prices for buckwheat plant, supplied for processing into buckwheat, in 1.5 times. The price for the first class buckwheat were increased from Br902 thousand to Br1.3 million per ton, from Br838 thousand to Br1.2 million for the second class, from Br751 thousand to Br1.1 million for the third class. This decision is contained in the decree of the Council of Ministers from September 9, 2010 № 1305.
The document, which came into force on July 29 2010, made additions to the decision of the Council of Ministers of Belarus on July 20, 2010 № 1082 «On approval of procurement prices for agricultural products of the crop of 2010, sold for public use».
Purchase prices for buckwheat were increased in connection with the need to protect the interests of domestic producers and regulate prices for buckwheat in comparison with neighboring countries, informed in the press service of the Council of Ministers.
