In Belarus, it's planned to buy prototypes of rail buses from abroad to study their effectiveness. They are planned to be tested in sections of Gomel-Khoiniki and Kalinkovichi-Slovechno of Gomel office of Belarusian Railways. It was reported at a press conference by the chief of BZD, Anatoly Sivak.
If testing is successful, Belcommunmash and Belarusian Railways to study the possibility of rail buses assembling in Belarus, Minsk-news informs.
Rail bus is a smaller version of diesel train, which consists of one or two cars. This transport is supposed to be used at railway sections with a small number of passengers.
