Chairman of the Belarusian Public Council on morality Nikolai Cherginets did not go to the Minsk concert of German band Rammstein on seventh of March, which he called to cancel previously . However, as Chairman said, he was told that "There was nothing terrible at the concert."

«I didn’t go to this concert, but they say there was nothing terrible there. Just wanted to spend the weekend with my family, so we didn’t plan to go. Didn’t plan not because we think it’s good or bad. It’s pleasant to go on what you like, you know.»-said Nikolai Cherginets in interview for European Radio for Belarus.

According to Chairman of the Belarusian Public Council on morality, he does not know Rammstein. He knows only this is heavy rock. Such music, according to Nikolai Cherginets, he does not like.

The head of the pro-governmental alliance of writers also said that he did not  stand for abolition of the concert of German group. It was only alleged that during performance German rockers did not threaten the morality of  Belarusians. Nikolai Cherginets is sure, that kind of risk existed.

«We did not forbid — we asked organizers of the concert to express caution in specific part, that they did not allowed the facts we have on video tape happen on the stage. I have this tapes. They reflect really egregious facts.»- said the head of Council.

Recall that in late February, the Public Council on morality adopted a statement , which asserted that «the decision to bring Rammstein to Minsk — is a mistake that can be costly for us». Later the organizers were required by Nikolai Cherginets to run preliminary performance of the concert. During the run representatives of the Council and the Ministry of Culture were going to make sure that the morality of listenersis is not in danger. However, pre-concert program was not held.
