Real wages rose by 4.8% in March, Belstat

Real wages (wages, calculated taking into account the increase in consumer prices for goods and services) increased by 25.2% in January-March 2011 compared to the similar period in 2010. At the same time in March 2011 compared with February, wages rose by 4.8%. Reported by the National Statistics Committee of Belarus (Belstat). 

Real wages (wages, calculated taking into account the increase in consumer prices for goods and services) increased by 25.2% in January-March 2011 compared to the similar period in 2010. At the same time in March 2011 compared with February, wages rose by 4.8%. Reported by the National Statistics Committee of Belarus (Belstat). 
Nominal average monthly wages in January-March totaled 470 dollars, including 495 dollars in March. Compared to February the wages increased by 6.8% or 30 dollars. 
The average wage in March was 540 dollars in industry and transport and communication, 595 dollars in construction, 330 dollars in agriculture, hunting and forestry, 400 dollars in education. The school teachers got 470 dollars, university workers 720 dollars. Salaries of health and social services workers amounted 400 dollars in March . In health care people got 420 dollars: including doctors getting 720 dollars and nurses getting 420 dollars.
