Restaurant Administrator Selling Belarusian Women in Lebanon

Minsk law enforcement instituted legal proceedings against the administrator of the restaurant "Russian seasons," who had exported 14 young Belarusian women to Lebanon and Cyprus for five years. According to the General Directorate of combating organized crime and corruption of MIA, all the girls were sold in sexual exploitation in various institutions abroad.

As for the restaurant administrator, a criminal case was opened under Part 3, Article №187 of the Criminal Code of Belarus (illegal act, aimed at the employment of citizens abroad,  resulting in sexual or other exploitation of these persons against their will, committed by an organized group). This article provides for penalties of up to eight years in jail.
