Restriction of Alcoholic Beverages Sale is not Interdiction, but Recommendation, Municipal Department of Internal Affairs

Sale limitation of alcoholic beverages in Minsk shops in the end of last week during school-leaving parties was not interdiction, but recommendation, Igor Yevseyev, the deputy chief of Minsk Municipal Department of Internal Affairs, stated making comments on situation when alcoholic beverages were nevertheless sold in some large shops and hypermarkets of Minsk from 15:00 on June, 11th.

So, the alcoholic beverages could be bought in «Korona» and «Preston-Market», tvr.by informs. The majority of other city shops listened to the city authorities and limited alcoholic beverages sale.

According to Igor Yevseyev, the policemen came to the hypermarket «Korona» at 21:00 in a day of school-leaving parties on June, 11th. However, , the deputy chief of the Municipal Department of Internal Affairs of Minsk didn’t explain what for they did that. Then, selling of alcoholic beverages in «Korona» started at 23:00 once again.

As Telegraf informed, the governing bodies of Minsk at the instance of the Municipal Department of Internal Affairs of Minsk city Executive Committee decided to limit alcohol sale in Minsk from 3:00 p.m. on June, 11th till 8.00 a.m. on June, 12th.

The representatives of the central administrative board of the consumer market of Minsk city Executive Committee informed, that imposing of interdiction for sale of alcoholic beverages was connected with school-leaving parties. They added that the decision applied only on stationary shops and not cafes, restaurants and other objects of public catering.
