The Russian company Inter RAO will completely stop electricity supplies to Belarus on June 22 due to the failure of the official Minsk to repay the debts since March. At the moment Belarus has paid only the March debt to the Russian side, which still does not fit into the previously declared terms of repayment.
As Telegraf previously reported, Russia halved electricity supplies to Belarus on June 9 for the first time this year. Further negotiations on Belarus’s phased debt payment resumed the supplies in the same volume.
