The Russian state corporation Russian Technologies is not satisfied with the proposals of the Belarusian association Minsk Automobile Plant and JSC KAMAZ. This was stated by the head of Russian Technologies, Sergey Chemezov, in Stuttgart. "We have received several proposals from the Belarusian side; they are not suitable for us to some extent. We are preparing our counter-proposals, negotiations are ongoing," he said.

According to Telegraf, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin announced on March 15 about the merger of assets of the largest manufacturers of heavy trucks in Belarus and Russia — MAZ and KAMAZ. «This alliance will help create competitive products of the Belarusian and Russian enterprises, new jobs,» he said.

MAZ General Director Alexander Borovski stated on March 18 that it was right to decide to merge the assets of KAMAZ company. «A very complicated situation has developed. Russia will enter the WTO. Plus, China is very actively developing today: six road freight plants are at the starting stage. MAZ should have a partner in this situation,» he said.
