The head-office of Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in Murmansk region has established an operational headquarters to search tourists from Belarus covered by avalanche in the mountainous massifs Lovozerskoj. It was informed by the spokesman of the Belarusian embassy in Russia Vitaliy Slivka. The staff of Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations takes all actions to save four citizens of Belarus, according to the spokesman.

Vitaliy Slivka says that «three rescue teams with search dogs are working at the place of accident. Also, it was found that all members of the group — counted six people — are residents of Brest «, according to BELTA.

The spokesman of the diplomatic mission emphasized that consular officers of the Belarusian embassy are in constant contact with representatives of the Foreign Ministry of Russia in Murmansk region, Ministry of Emergency Situations and other competent bodies.

The Embassy proves identity of Belarusian tourists, Slivka says

The spokesman also said that Belarusian Embassy in Russia proves identity of four Belarusian tourists — being under the avalanche in the Murmansk region of Russia — and examines the circumstances of the accident.

Vitaliy Slivka stressed that three rescue teams are working at the place of this accident. «However, the situation is complicating by the fact that the avalanche occurred in one of the most inaccessible areas. The nearest town — Revda settlement — is in 15 kilometers from the place of emergency state «, — informed the press secretary of the diplomatic mission.

As Telegraph previously reported, March 3, Belarusian six-man tourists group arrived in the foothills of Hibin. The group was not registered in the Murmansk search and rescue office, as security measures requires.

March 8, at 2.30 p.m., there was recorded the avalanche in this area. As a result, four tourists were covered by snow, two young men — 1981 and 1989 year of birth — survived

The head-office of Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that search operations are complicated because of bad weather. At the time, four Belarusian tourists — with two girls among them — are still missing.
