One of the leading news agencies of Russia has called Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko "the village sly fox" after the Belarusian state-run media's "information attacks" on Russia made. In particular, a series of plots were shown on the Belarusian TV, negatively evaluating Russia's intention to buy property in Belarus, using the country's economic problems.

Belarusian media have also addressed the fact that Russia is unwilling to help Belarusians in overcoming crisis.

In turn, the Russian TV has constantly showing packages about the plight of Belarus.

«Moskovsky Komsomolets» Harshly Criticized Lukashenko

Editor in chief of «Moskovsky Komsomolets,» Pavel Gusev, also made a statement addressed to the Belarusian President, harshly commenting on the statement of Alexander Lukashenko on the possible release of all the detained participants of riots in Minsk on Election Day on December 19, 2010. The words of the Belarusian leader are addressed to the West and Russia, who have condemned the reprisals of the opposition in the country and refused Alexander Lukashenko in «financial aid,» while the economy of Belarus is experiencing a most acute crisis, reports a Russian journalist.

«Lenin used to say very precisely: » a political prostitute.» Lukashenko is a political prostitute who has been wagging all these years wherever the force vector shows up,» said Pavel Gusev, the radio station «Ekho of Moscow.»

«At first he tried to resist the political decisions, dictated by the Kremlin and others, said «MC» Editor in chief. — It worked neither with the Kremlin nor the West — he tricked them all. I believe that a very clever policy has been recently initiated. Of course, it hits, primarily, the people.»

«Someday we will get to know the whole story how Russia has played deftly with these pretzels, rubles, finches. And with rabbits, of which nothing has left,» told a Russian journalist, probably referring to the plunge of the Belarusian ruble.

Russia is Involved in Creating Difficult Economic Situation in Belarus, «MC»

Pavel Gusev believes that Russia is involved in creating a difficult economic situation in Belarus with the national ruble and currency. And the current developments in the country are still not the worst, the editor of «Moskovsky Komsomolets» is sure.

«It would be even worse. The whole economy will collapse, said Pavel Gusev. — And the only way to replace Lukashenko and take 68% of votes, previously approving of his earlier work and that socialist economy, arranged at the expense of Russia, is our money.

«MC» Editor in chief also believes that the recent statements by Alexander Lukashenko are flirting with the West and Russia, as well as with democratic forces — just in case, for another billion, who knows, maybe it’ll help.» «Endless debt cannot help, which Lukashenko understands, but won’t even think to change something, said Pavel Gusev. — His idea is absolutely clear: to play tricks, to take money from everyone, but stay in power to maintain his dictatorial power.»
