Russia Makes "Various Steps" to Release Detained in Minsk

Russia is doing everything possible for the speedy release of its citizens, detained in Minsk on December 19. This was reported by the deputy director of the Information Department of the Foreign Ministry of Russia Alexei Sazonov. "Various steps are made on behalf of our country in order to expedite the release of the Russian citizens," he said.

According to the diplomat, «Embassy will assist those Russians in custody in the consular and legal terms.»

Earlier, according to Telegraf, State Secretary — Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Grigori Karasin held a telephone conversation on December 27 with the ambassador of Belarus in Moscow Vasili Dolgolev.
