Russia Resumed Oil Supplies to Belarus

Russian company, Transneft resumed oil supplies to Belarus on Tuesday, January 25. This became possible due to the oil deliveries contracts for 2011, signed between the Belarusian oil refineries and Russian oil suppliers. According to Transneft spokesman, pumping was resumed at 16:50 Belarusian time. 

The pipeline operator suspended the export of Russian oil to Belarus on January 1, then oil supplies to Belarus enterprise Naftan were resumed at 16:50 on January 25, while Mazyr refinery got its first delivery at 17:00, Igor Diomin said.

As Telegraf previously reported, under the draft energy budget of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in 2011, agreed by the parties in December 2010, 21.7 million tons, including 18 million tons by pipelines, can be supplied in Belarus in the current year.
