Russian CEC Invited by Belarusian Colleagues

The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation received an invitation from the CEC of the Republic of Belarus to take part in monitoring the presidential elections, scheduled on December 19, 2010. This was stated by the CEC secretary of Russia Nikolai Konkin on November 10. "Yesterday the chairman of the Central Election Commission received an invitation," he said.

«But we have not had time to form a delegation yet. The invitation’s been given for study,» Nikolai Konkin said, the «Belarusian partisans.»

According to Telegraf, Russian observers to monitor the presidential elections in Belarus, said in early October that they would give its assessment of the voting process and its outcome. «The work of Russian observers will be the most adequate estimation of the presidential elections in Belarus,» the Russian presidential administration.
