Russian Citizen Won $670 Thousand in Belarusian Lottery

A citizen of Russia, Nikolai Tereveynin, residing in Miorski district, Vitebsk voblast, became the winner of a record jackpot in the history of the Belarusian lotteries, equal to Br2 billion ($666 thousand). This was reported by the head of economic department of the Ministry of Sports and Tourism Marina Podlipskaya on February 22.

The winner has already donated 2% of their winnings to charity, having remitted Br20 million ($ 6.6 thousand) to Perebrodskaya state comprehensive secondary school-kindergarten, and Br10 million ($ 3.3 thousand) to Disnenski kindergarten and Perebrodskaya church, BelTA informs.

Lucky man and his family arrived in Belarus a year and a half ago to visit the grave of their parents. He decided to stay in the country and soon obtained a residence permit. He is currently in retirement.
