Russian Foreign Ministry Demands from Belarus to Release its Citizens

December 22 During, State Secretary — Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Grigory Karasin demanded from the First Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Igor Petrishenko in the telephone conversation to release all the Russian citizens, detained in Minsk on December 19 and kept in administrative temporary detention.

As it became known to Telegraf, the sides also discussed the current bilateral cooperation between the foreign ministries during the conversation.

According to Telegraf, Belarusian police detained nine Russian citizens during an unauthorized protest actions in Minsk on December 19. This was reported in the Russian embassy in Belarus. «We were given a list of nine detained citizens of Russia,» the Russian diplomat said.
