Andrey Kharkovets, Minister of Finance of Belarus, informed on June, 10th, that Sberbank of the Russian Federation would be engaged to issue Belarusian 500 million dollars bonds. They are to be issued in equivalent in the Russian roubles.
Besides, Andrey Kharkovets informed that the Ministry of Finance of Belarus «is absolutely ready» for the first issue of eurobonds. At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Finance noticed that due to the current situation in the world financial markets, it’s difficult to enter them, PRIME-TASS informs.
«Belarus is now absolutely ready to enter the financial markets. We are monitoring the situation in these markets and the conclusions are not so good. The situation shows that the markets have high volatility, that’s why it’s rather difficult to enter them and furthermore to enter them the first time», Andrey Kharkovets said.
«The Ministry of Finance of Belarus will continue to observe the situation», the Minister of Finance assured. He added that as soon as the situation in the world financial markets became more favorable, the ministry would carry out issue of eurobonds.
