Leader of European Belarus civil campaign, Andrei Sannikov, who plans to put forward his candidacy for the presidency of Belarus, considers absurd "Manifesto to protect national interests", voiced on August 23 by the leadership of BPF Party.

«No sensible politician in Belarus to sign a manifesto issued by the current leadership of BPF. The absurdity of this document is so obvious that it makes think about the real purpose of its initiators», Andrei Sannikov stated.

According to the politician, it is noteworthy that the manifesto appeared at a time when Russia’s position in relation to «the last dictatorship in Europe» began to change. Andrei Sannikov believes that it may indicate that BPF Party is afraid of that significant changes may happen in Belarus, and intends to prevent this, the press center of Charter 97 informs.

«Our recent history teaches us, and let’s be honest about it, that changes in Belarus took place after some impulse from Moscow», the leader of European Belarus declared. «What’s bad in the fact that today Moscow is drawing attention to the investigation of the cases of those who missing once again, speaks about corruptibility of dictator Lukashenko and his milieu? »

BPF Party and Lukashenko has feudal notions about the modern world, Sannikov

«In these circumstances an attempt of BPF leaders to present opposition blind and deaf do not stand up to criticism. They, along with Lukashenko, stuck in some kind of feudal ideas about the modern world. As Belarusian dictator, they are trying to assume the right to determine what the people of Belarus needs», Andrei Sannikov declared.

According to the politician, Belarusian opposition will use appeared «real chance to save the country from dictatorship», though BPF leadership does not want to participate in it.

As Telegraf previously reported, on August 23, BPF leader, Alexei Yanukevich, and presidential aspirant from the party, Grigory Kostusev, voiced «Manifesto to protect national interests», which noted that Belarus should leave the Customs Union and the Organization of Collective Security Treaty.
