The leader of "European Belarus" civil campaign, Andrei Sannikov applied for registration of his action group on September 24. Presidential nominee came to the Central Election Commission at 10:00 a.m. However, potential candidate managed to enter the CEC building only in 20 minutes.
Andrei Sannikov was not let in immediately, since «the Commission was busy», «European Radio for Belarus» informs. Contender for the presidency was accompanied by Zmitser Bandarenka, Stanislau Shushkevich, Viktar Ivashkevich. In total, Andrei Sannikov’s action group includes more than 1.8 thousand people.
As Telegraf informed, seven contenders for the presidency applied to Central Election Commission for registration of their action groups on September 23. Only one action group of Viktor Tereshchenko has been registered so far.
Among the other contenders are Yuri Glushakov, first deputy chairman of the Belarusian Party of Greens, Sergey Ryzhov, head of foreign economic activity of JSC «Vitebsk fruit and vegetable plant», Uladzimir Niaklajeu, leader of «Tell the truth!» civil campaign, poet, Vladimir Provalski, sole proprietor from Vitebsk, Natalia Starikova, a nurse from the Homel Voblast, and Yaroslav Romanchuk, the deputy chairman of the United Civil Party.
