Sberbank of Russia is going to offer Belarus the ruble bonds floatation in Russia in 2010. "If markets are favorable, we will make an offer to Belarus this year," the deputy chairman of Sberbank Bella Zlatkis said in the lobby interviews of the Russian Banking Forum by Adam Smith in London.

«I am convinced that the rate of 8.75% per annum is extremely loyal, being a very low margin if to consider 8% inflation. I do not think it could be done cheaper,» Sberbank deputy chairman noted, RIA «Novosti» news agency.

«As organizers, we saw the enthusiasm of investors, totalling 29. We assume the release will take place. We’re short of time this year, and the situation hasn’t been very favorable recently, so two options are left — to issue this year, or leave it for the next year,» Bella Zlatkis said.

At the same time, placement may take place by the end of January, 2011 due to the long holidays and the uncertainty of the situation in some countries, primarily in Ireland.

Asccording to Telegraf, the Ministry of Finance of Belarus decided to postpone indefinitely the scheduled floatation of Russian ruble-denominated government bonds of the first RUB7 billion tranche. The corresponding order was signed by the Minister of Finance of Belarus Andrei Kharkovets on November 23, 2010.

Earlier, Belarus planned to place RUB7 billion of bonds on the Russian market in November 2010.
