SCC to Recount Belarusians about Innovations at the Customs

From July 6, 2010, at State Customs Committee of Belarus in the office of situational analysis center of customs authorities there began to work operation and information center. Its main task is to provide rapid and competent information to citizens and legal entities on how to transfer goods and vehicles across the customs border, changed after the entry into force of the Customs Code of the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia.

The staff of information center includes the most experienced customs officials in key areas of customs: customs clearance and control, tariff regulation and customs payments, customs legislation, informed in the SCC. In customs there also additionally formed operation and information groups and operational duty divisions of the State Customs Committee and customs, where they give consultations twenty four hours.

A decision on the introduction of the Customs Code of the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia was taken on July 5, 2010 at a meeting of the EurAsEC Interstate Council in Astana. In Belarus, the Customs Code entered into force on July 6, 2010. As previously noted in the SCC, principles and procedures of customs regulation incorporated in the Code were not essentially different from those used in Belarus.
