At the moment, the seventh tanker with Venezuelan oil for Belarus is in the roads in the port of Odessa. There are 78.3 thousand tons of oil on the tanker's board. As reported in the dispatching office of Odessa port, oil unloading has not been begun yet. It usually takes no more than three days.

As Telegraf previously reported, the agreement to supply Venezuelan oil to Belarus was signed in March 2010. According to the arrangement, Belarus has to import four million tons of oil from this country, and subsequently the volume of purchases will grow up to ten million tons per year.

The first batch of Venezuelan raw materials was delivered to the port of Odessa in May. Then oil is transported to Mozyr oil refinery. It was reported earlier that the seventh tanker had to arrive on August 8 in Estonian port of Muuga for further oil transportation to Novopolotsk at Naftan oil refinery.

The experts note that the route of oil transportaition to Belarus from Estonia by rail is shorter than from Ukraine: the distance between the port of Odessa and Mozyr oil refinery is about one thousand kilometers, between the port of Muuga and Novopolotsk — 850 kilometers.
