Sidorsky Demands Putin to Eliminate Oil Duties Again

Belarusian Prime Minister, Sergei Sidorsky, at a meeting of the EurAsEC interstate council in the frames of Customs Union's commission on May 20 is to defend Minsk principle position on the elimination of export duties on oil and petroleum products within the CU. It was reported in the press service of the President of Belarus on the basis of the Prime Minister's report to Alexander Lukashenko.

According to Sergei Sidorsky, all the agreements — prepared for signing at the level of the heads of governments in the framework of the orders given by the heads of states at a meeting within the EurAsEC and the Customs Union, which preparation had been entrusted to Belarusian side — have gone trough the approval by experts and are ready to be signed, reported in the press service of Belarusian leader.

In his turn, the head of state instructed the prime minister to achieve the best results in counting Belarusian interests and in the issue of conditions of cars export to our country within the Customs Union by individuals.

Alexander Lukashenko reminded that the essence of Belarus’ position is to reach a conservation of customs duties or compel the CU partners to make a weighed decision and make it suit all three states. «At least, the Kazakh side supports the proposal of Belarusian side on these issues in the negotiation process», Sergey Sidorsky stressed.

«Moreover, there will be also examined a number of issues relating to the functioning of free economic zones. They located in all three states: in Belarus, the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan. However, in Belarus and Russia there are high-performance, technological areas, and Russia and Kazakhstan have also zones of raw materials. That’s why the parties should maximally reconcile their positions on this issue», added in the Belarusian president’s press service.
