Belarus' Prime Minister, Sergei Sidorsky, will not attend the meeting of the higher authority of the Customs Union to be held on May 28 in St. Petersburg. According to the spokesman of Belarusian government, Alexander Timoshenko, the reason is that "the meeting is not well-prepared".

In his turn, the press secretary of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the refusal of Sergei Sidorsky to visit the meeting of the Customs Union Commission, stated that it would take place even without the head of Belarusian government, RIA Novosti informs.

«Yes, it’s true that we have information about Prime Minister Sidorsky non-participation in today’s meeting. However, at present, the Kazakhstani party has confirmed its participation, and the meeting will be held in any case», official representative of Russian prime minister said.

As Telegraf previously reported, last weekend, Vladimir Putin stated that the Customs Union of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan not to work in full regime from July 1. As Russian prime minister explained, it’s caused by the differences between Minsk and Moscow on cars import duties for individuals, export duties on Russian oil and oil products, as well as some unresolved economic issues with Kazakhstan.
