Non-participation of Belarusian Prime Minister, Sergei Sidorsky, in the planned on May 28 Summit of the government heads of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan in St. Petersburg is related to a number of unresolved issues existing within the Customs Union. It was reported by spokesman of Prime Minister, Alexander Timoshenko.

«The refusal of Belarusian Prime Minister, Sergei Sidorski, to take part in planned on May 28 in St. Petersburg’s «group of three» meeting is connected with the preservation of some outstanding issues within the Customs Union, which are essential for the Belarusian party», Alexander Timoshenko said.

As Telegraf previously reported, a week ago at a meeting in St Petersburg prime ministers of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan could not agree on all positions on the Customs Union. The parties negotiated to continue consultations in two weeks at the expert level.

«Over the week, the experts were able to find common ground on some issues, but not on everything. Therefore, the Belarusian party considered it untimely to participate in the announced meeting», the press secretary of Prime Minister said.
