It's the second day when Skype users have faced with a communication problem because of the failure, which occurred on May 26 and led to disruption of the service worldwide. The same evening, the administration of the resource found out the reason for the system failure and partly restored the service.
Skype managed to restore the work for the greater part of the service audience through a special software patch for Windows version program at night on May 26-27. The service will soon be available for those clients running Mac OS X, the company said.
Skype, recently acquired by Microsoft, has also posted instructions for users on how to recover own clients for Windows and Mac OS X.
In addition, users of Skype for Windows, which still have problems logging into the system, are offered to upgrade Skype latest version.
«We plan to release updated Skype for Mac tomorrow. Linux users should follow the instructions to update manually. If you use Skype on your mobile phone, TV or other device, you should not touch this issue,» told in Skype.
The resource administration apologizes to users.
It should be noted that Skype has earlier experienced a global failure, caused by an error in the code of an updated version of the client software.
