State Budget Surplus Amounted to $66 million in January

Surplus of the national budget of Belarus totaled Br199 billion ($66 million) in January 2011. The budget income over this period amounted to Br2.3 trillion ($765 million), that made up 7% of the yearly plan. The Ministry of Finance of Belarus reported on this on March 4.

Over January 2011 the national budget income taxes returns totaled to Br243.6 billion (10,5% of the yearly plan), VAT — Br901.9 billion (6.7%), income from foreign trade — Br511,6 billion (7%). On February 1, 2011 the taxpayers owed the budget Br69.4 billion, having increased by Br37.4 billion since January 1.

National budgetary expenditures over January 2011 totaled Br2.1 trillion (5.4%), of which the government spent on nation-wide activity Br924 billion (5.3%), on the national economy — Br239.8 billion (3.3%), on the social sphere financing (social policy, education, public health service, physical culture, sport, culture and media) — Br585.7 billion (6.6%).
