Co-Chairman of the Belarusian Christian Democracy (BCD) Vital Rymasheuski and chairman of the organizing committee for the creation of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) Mikola Statkevich declared their participation in the presidential campaign at a press conference in Minsk on 22 September. Both candidates will give the Central Election Commission all the documents for action groups registration on 24 September.

As Vital Rymasheuski says, his group numbers more than a thousand volunteers to collect signatures, «Belarusian partisan»reports. In his turn, Mikola Statkevich, noted that there would be enough people in his group to collect the necessary signatures, although the exact number of people was not mentioned.

The electoral legislation has only one limitation on the composition of an action group: it should not be less than 100 people. And in order to register as a candidate for president, one need to collect at least 100 thousand signatures of Belarusian citizens with the right to vote.

As Telegraf passed, CEC chairman Lydia Yermoshina announced on 21 September that so far only one person has registered his action group in the Central Committee, whose name is Viktor Tereshchenko.
