Statkevich Says about Gathering 100 Thousand Signatures

The leader of the organizing committee of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (People's Assembly) Mikola Statkevich said that his action group had gathered 100 thousand signatures. He is the seventh applicant, gathered the required number of signatures for nomination. At the same time the potential candidate does not intend to stop collecting signatures.

«In yesterday evening (October, 24 — Telegraf) there were 100.7 thousand signatures. But it’s not all the data. Some regions have not yet sent the reports. We will not stop collecting them, since there are many nuances. We plan to collect about 110-115 thousand until the end of the term», Mikola Statkevich said.
In addition, a businessman from Minsk, Dmitry Uss also said that his action group had gathered the required 100 thousand signatures. However, as the politician said, there were only preliminary estimates, as the members of action group had not sent the reports, «Nasha Niva» informs.
«We have about 40 thousand in Minsk and about 60 thousand in the regions. But finally we’ll say about the collected 100 thousand only when we start to transmit the signatures to the commissions», Dmitry Uss said.
The action group of BPF deputy chairman Ryhor Kastusiou plans to collect 100 thousand signatures on Monday, October 25. At the moment, the potential candidate has already counted 97.7 thousand signatures.»But we will not stop to collect them, since we need to have more signatures for reinsurance. We also plan to intensify efforts to systematize the collected signatures,» the BPF leader of the Alaksiej Janukievic said. 
As Telegraf informed, by the evening October 24, the campaign of the Belarusian Christian Democracy (BCD) for Vital Rymasheuski’s presidential nomination collected 89.3 thousand signatures. The required number of signatures (100 thousand) is expected on Wednesday, October 27. 
Also, it became known  today (October 25) that the action group of Ales Michalevic gathered needed for registration 100 thousand signatures.
Previously the signatures required for registration as a presidential candidate were also collected by the action groups of the incumbent president Alexander Lukashenko, the leader of «Tell the truth!» campaign Uladzimir Niakliaeu, deputy chairman of the United Civil Party, Yaroslav Romanchuk, the leader of the civil campaign «European Belarus» Andrei Sannikov and chairman of the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises Viktor Tereshchenko.
