President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko believes that the salary of doctors should depend primarily on their professional level. "There should be no wage levelling. Superdoctors should be paid a supersalary, average-skilled — the average salary, but those under average, cannot be equated with luminaries. This cannot be done," the President stressed.
President of Belarus noted among other things that Belarus still faces a problem with young doctors today. «We need to think how to support them. Without support there will be no luminaries,» the President said.
According to Alexander Lukashenko, «there are bad and good doctors» in Belarus. «But most of our people are normal. Therefore, doctors can not be bad if normal conditions are created for them,» BelTA quotes the president.
However, Alexander Lukashenko believes it necessary to concentrate on the most important trends in health development in the next five years, including the treatment of cancer, cardiovascular diseases, the development of traumatology, as well as cellular technologies and genetic engineering.
Lukashenko Drew Parallels between Health and Agriculture
In the matter of the health care system in Belarus the head of state drew a parallel with the agricultural development decisions — the implementation of integrated programs was looked upon in both cases. So, according to Alexander Lukashenko, in relation to health care it was necessary to optimize the system of medical institutions in the country.
The Belarusian leader noted that such optimization and equipping of medical institutions of various levels of modern equipment and infrastructure is almost completed. However, Alexander Lukashenko said that one needs to pay attention to gynecology and surgery in district hospitals, which have already been equipped with the necessary equipment.
In general, according to Alexander Lukashenko, it’ll take one or two years to complete equipping of district and voblast health facilities. «We have determined with the way to follow. It’s worth while, and it’s the most important thing,» Alexander Lukashenko summed up.
