Number of Suspects of Riots in Minsk Increased

26 people are on the list of suspects, detained for riots at Independence Square in Minsk on December 19. The new suspect is Andrei Fedorkevich, sentenced earlier to ten days of administrative arrest in prison in Zhodina.

As reported by human rights activists, 23 detainees are currently in remand prison of the KGB, two (Rygor Kastusiou and Dmitri Uss) — under travel restrictions, another detainee (Nikita Likhovid) had to be transferred to the KGB prison. Most of them should be charged on December 29, the human rights center «Viasna» said.

Nikita Krasnov can also be brought to the responsibility, as he’s considered as a suspect, which gave rise for the serche, carried out in his apartment on December 27.

List of suspects, involved in organization and participation in the riots (part 1 and 2, Art. 293 of the Criminal Code of Belarus):

2. Alexander Atroshchenko — Press Secretary of Andrei Sannikov election headquarters

3. Dmitri Bondarenko — coordinator of the civil campaign «European Belarus»

4. Sergei Vozniak — representative of Vladimir Niakliaeu

5. Andrei Dmitriev — campaign manager of Vladimir Niakliaeu

6. Alexander Klaskovski — a former police officer

7. Vladimir Kobets — campaign manager of Andrei Sannikov

8. Oleg Korban — one of the leaders of the youth organization of the United Civil Party «Young Democrats»

9. Rygor Kastusiou — former presidential candidate, remains under house arrest

10. Anatoli Lebedko — Chairman of the United Civil Party

11. Ales Michalevic — a former presidential candidate

12. Vladimir Niakliaeu — a former candidate for presidency

13. Anatoli Pavlov — representative of Yaroslav Romanchuk

14. Palazhanka Anastasia — Deputy Chairman of the Young Front

15. Natalia Radina — Belarusian journalist

16. Vital Rymasheuski — a former presidential candidate

17. Andrei Sannikov — a former presidential candidate

18. Sevyarynets Pavel — representative of candidate Vital Rymasheuski

19. Statkevich Nikcolai — a former presidential candidate

20. Dmitri Uss — a former presidential candidate, his present whereabouts is unknown

21. Alexander Feduta — coordinator of Vladimir Niakliaeu election headquarters

22. Irina Khalip — journalist, wife of the former presidential candidate Andrei Sannikov

23. Sergei Martselev — head of the electoral headquarters of the former presidential candidate Nikolai Statkevich
